The key to solving environmental problems is simple: the present generation is willing to have a less comfortable life for the sake of the future generation. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

解题步骤分析

这道题非常有深度，考核的是同学们对可持续发展的理解，对其不大了解的同学可能会想不到观点。对于这类话题，写一边倒结论太过于绝对且不好构思论点，所以黄老师建议的是写中和法，即正反讨论 + 中立结论。

比如，对于这篇文章：

1.支持段：部分环境问题确实是由个人追求高品质生活造成，所以个人降低生活品质追求可以解决一部分环境问题

2.反对段：但是还有一部分环境问题是由工业等因素造成，需要政府制定政策来解决。

3.结论：解决环境问题需要政府和个人齐心协力（work in concert）

同时，环境类的话题词很容易写，但是很难出彩，所以同学们请务必牢记范文中好词搭配（蓝色部分），这些都是考试中一定可以用到的8分词汇！！！

For instance, if governments fail to impose environmental legislations to reduce industry carbon footprint whereas waiting for voluntary changes in individual behavior, the positive outcomes of individual effort, which are largely offset by an increase in the amount of greenhouse gas emitted by factories and lorries, can hardly make any difference on the ground.
